Cartagena, Spain is a historic port city located on the southeast Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula. When sailing into port it’s easy to imagine that this is the exact same area where the Phoenicians, Greeks, Carthaginians, Romans, Byzantines, Moors, Barbary Coast pirates, the Spanish Armada and ships form France and Great Britain arrived centuries and millennium ago. Today Cartagena is in the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia, one of the seventeen Autonomous Communities that make up Spain. This region produces large quantities of flowers, fruits and vegetables as well as wine and olive oil for domestic consumption and export throughout the European Union.
Livorno is located in the Tuscan region of Italy. Tuscany is made up of many hills, fertile valleys and warm sandy beaches that follow along the West Coast of Italy. It is also responsible for amazing wines and tasty nourishment. We spent a morning in Livorno recently wandering around the downtown area, investigating the indoor food market with its wines, fish and vegetables followed by a walking trip around the boat-filled harbor.

South Florida’s popular “Jungle”attraction has recently programmed a troop of 12 very talented African performers from Cirque Zuma Zuma. Included in the price of admission, be prepared to enjoy well-rehearsed acrobatic entertainment as seen on the hit TV series, America’s Got Talent. Zuma performers will dazzle visitors with human pyramids, Zulu dancers, pole climbers, percussionists and high-powered music. Each day, Jungle Island features impressive shows every 15 minutes starting at 2 p.m., and with a grand finale beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Parrot Bowl.
