The Upper East Side (UES) of Miami has patiently waited decades for eateries that excite the taste buds.  Welcome Pasta Vino. This recently opened Italian restaurant is thoughtfully decorated, with plenty of seats inside and on the patio area and has a full bar with bartender Daniel serving up the libations.  Service is warm and efficient and the Italian preparations are molto bono.  Oh and here’s an extra goodie, parking is free in the ample parking lot situated right next to Presidente market place.

We had a fun meal at Moshi Moshi recently.  The décor is completely different.  The food is not that pricey and everyone in the place was super friendly.

 In a recent luncheon on the Café Terrace at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens, Joy Wallace spoke about her childhood dream of growing up to be a princess, marrying a prince, and living in a fairy-tale castle.  Almost all little girls have this dream, but for most it doesn’t come true. According to Joy, she did marry her prince and now spends a great deal of her time in a fairy-tale castle by the sea, Vizcaya.

Grand Opening Benefit Day at First Bonefish Grill in Aventura Greets Community with Fresh Seafood, Stellar Philanthropy

New restaurant raises $5,000 for American Red Cross of South Florida

AVENTURA, FL. (March 4, 2015) – The largest Bonefish Grill in South Florida and the first restaurant in Aventura opened its doors for business on Monday, March 2 at 18713 Biscayne Boulevard. In honor of the grand opening and to demonstrate community support, Bonefish Grill held a Benefit Day to raise funds for the American Red Cross of South Florida to support the non-profit organization’s mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies. March is also Red Cross Month and guests enjoyed restaurant favorites, refreshing cocktails, and spectacular ambiance and music— all for a great cause—raising $5,000 for the organization.

Some days are just more delicious than others.  Bacchus would have enjoyed the unlimited samples of wine and food at the Arsht this week.   Organized by the I.E.E.M, and the International Exhibition Management I.E.M., the popular Simply Italian trade event brought together an international wine industry and hosted a series of educational seminars and tastings presented by distinguished experts in their respective fields.   Also on the roster, I.E.E. M. honored “Simply the Best Women in Wine”.
