Some days are just more delicious than others. Bacchus would have enjoyed the unlimited samples of wine and food at the Arsht this week. Organized by the I.E.E.M, and the International Exhibition Management I.E.M., the popular Simply Italian trade event brought together an international wine industry and hosted a series of educational seminars and tastings presented by distinguished experts in their respective fields. Also on the roster, I.E.E. M. honored “Simply the Best Women in Wine”.
Smack dab in the center of Miami’s magnificent Midtown you’ll find Bar Louie. For me, it’s reminiscent of a neighborhood bar where ‘Norm’ & ‘Cliff’ (Cheers), could spend long hours talking about nothing special. I’ve only been there a couple of times for an end-of-the-day, gulp and nosh. It has the usual flat screen TV’s everywhere, with the obligatory sports highlights, which frankly…well you know, no one is really watching. The staff always looks busy however at that time of the afternoon, they strongly out-numbers the clientele, so why the bustle? Still the bites are good and the music is loud.
