MIAMI, FL – (September, 2015) – Now on its 14th year, the Miami Spice Restaurant Program, (the popular restaurant promotion organized by the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, GMCVB), offers diners an accessible way to experience more than 190 of the finest restaurants in the region, including 54 new 2015 participants.

Golden Fig, Brickell’s quaint farmhouse eatery from restaurateur and native Miamian Michael Sullivan and seasoned local Executive Chef Tomas Prado, is launching a Monday-Friday, 11:30am-3pm lunch service on Monday, August 24, 2016. Named after the sunshine state’s native Golden Fig tree, the restaurant’s concept is built on the notion of collaborating with small local farms growing ingredients indigenous to the region and displaying them for guests in a delicious and wholesome manner.

Although this restaurant is not on the Miami Spice list for this year, you can still enjoy a good lunch for a reasonable price if you browse around.

Spice restaurants are not all similar.  Most Spice eateries will surround you with delectable preparations in hopes that you will soon become a return client.   However a very few eateries might not go that extra mile. So we won’t mention them.

 This fun eatery is always a good place to plant your bum and just enjoy the creative atmosphere.  We arrived at about 8:00 p.m. on a Wednesday and were looking forward to tasting this year’s $39, 4-course Spice menu.
