On a beautiful Miami day recently, the Simply Italian Great Wines Americas Tour organized by I.E.M.

kicked off one of the most important and prominent Italian wine tastings at the exclusive Mandarin Oriental Hotel on Brickell Key. After a year of hibernation (better known at Lockdown), South Florida wine experts were invited to stop by the luxurious hotel for a lockdown ‘break’, enjoy the surroundings and best of all sip the finest Italian vinos.

Italy’s wine heritage dates back to over four thousand years. Italy’s rich geographical locations have created and nourished ideal places in which to produce unique wines that continually defy global mass-market trends.

The morning started off with the always popular guided tastings and seminars which aim to educate and recommend the renowned and respected wines of Italy.  After several seminars, guests were invited to an outdoor patio luncheon, expertly prepared and paired with wines from Consorzio Eden & Consorzio Italia di Vini & Sapori, all from the Veneto region.

Simultaneously the walk around tasting was held in a separate ballroom until early evening.    Local representatives poured wines for guests which included the following,

Consorzio Prosecco, Consorzio Maremma, Consorzio Eden and Consorzio Italia di Vini & Sapori.

I was the official photographer for Le Dish Magazine and RG was the lucky taster.
