We discovered Café Crème in North Miami through friends and neighbors who have been raving about the place.

The environment is friendly and ambitious. The kitchen is spotless, (and trust me that counts).   The display counter includes freshly made Croissant sandwiches and Bagels.  The Bar area is so typical of a French Bistro complete with a flat screen TV for your viewing pleasure.

Their main course starts at 5 p.m. If you are a culinary enthusiast, order the Duck Confit with homemade sautéed potatoes ($20.00) or the Boeuf Bourguignon ($21.00). It was like coming home to my French family for a memorable dinner “A la Francaise”.

Referred to as: ‘Your Neighborhood Restaurant’ it’s a welcoming place that serves really wonderful preparations and affordable wines.  Try the homemade Rillettes sandwich with lettuce, mustard, cornichons and slices of fresh tomatoes. So French.

We went with several friends who had already dined there before.  That made introductions warm.   Escargots, Steak Tartare and Moules- Frites were ordered and served by the chef’s wife.  I was drawn in by the Corvina, which was smothered in a dreamy-creamy, Sauterne-inclusive sauce, accompanied with Jasmine rice and spinach.  C’est si bon.

They are open for Breakfast-Lunch and Dinner.  Breakfast a la carte is served from Mon.-Fri., 8 a.m. to Noon.  On Sat. and Sun. breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m. and continues until 3:00 p.m.  They offer a wide variety of hot drinks and natural juices that are all fresh squeezed and 100% natural.

Enjoy Breakfast specials, Juices, Sandwiches, Quiches, Panini, and Appetizers. Entrees include Sides and Desserts.  Wines, Beers, and sodas are available too.

It’s my new favorite place to enjoy amazing good fresh food.  And… as if that was not enough, they are nice. Café Crème: 750 NE 125th St., North Miami, Fl. 33161.  Details: 786.409.3961 or visit www.cafecrememiami.com.  Free parking adjacent to the MOCA.
