The downtown Miami InterContinental Hotel is the go-to place where foodies can gather if they are looking for the finest in steakhouse dining.
The award winning ToroToro restaurant located in the lobby of the hotel was modeled after the tres chic ToroToro in Dubai several years back. It continues to offer guests creative meat preparations as well as the freshest seafood, and an array of Asian-style salads, hot and cold small plates and creative beverages.
We arrived with a small group of friends and were expertly greeted by the GM, Chef Eric Do, our evening’s waiters and waitresses, a pastry chef and a wine steward. Frankly I was surprised Queen Elizabeth wasn’t there to hold our chairs out for us. We were treated like royalty.
First, a varied assortment of small plates was served. I warned everyone about pacing themselves because there was going to be plenty of additional delicious plates coming from the kitchen. By the third course, guests were amazed at the fine dishes including seafood specials, arroz con mariscos, calamari, Peruvian-style ceviche, tender, juicy steaks and warm breads that were placed on our table. After a tremendous dinner, we were treated to two chocolates bombes for dessert which were filled with fine sweets, ice cream and yummy berries.
Go there for their bottomless Saturday and Sunday Brunch which is priced at $45 p/p or enjoy their daily Happy Hour deals.
