Slowly but surely great shows are coming back to us.

Recently there was Art Basel, Art Miami, Context, etc.  This past weekend the Original Miami Beach Antique Show (Miami Beach Convention Center, Ocean Ballroom), invited enthusiasts to enjoy amazing antique and present day works of art.   Most of the show offered modern jewelry designs as well as antique and estate jewels.  Also, on view an impressive vast assortment of pre-owned watches, rings, diamonds and some wearable expensive “rocks”.

We tend to drift towards the smaller antique ‘objects’ section located towards the back area of the exhibition.  There, you might find rare objects to visually enhance your home with.  On view works from Egypt, Peru, China, France, etc.  We also found a limited amount of vintage clothing, designer purses, statues, bronzes, Tiffany studio lamps circa 1905, paintings and a vast assortment of unusual objets d’art.  Again, a feast for the eyes.

There was complimentary valuations courtesy of Sotheby’s on January 22nd.  The MBCC has been beautifully redesigned and yes there was ample affordable parking for  visitors as well as valet ($20 fee) parking.
