Puerto Vallarta Mexico

The last time we were in Puerto Vallarta, we drank beers, walked along the Malecon, the picturesque boardwalk lined with shops and restaurants by the Pacific Ocean and drank a few more cervesas.

This time, since our stay was limited to a few hours we followed the crew to the gigantic shopping mall several blocks from the port.    OK, not the best way to enjoy a city however we did purchase a bunch of essentials that made up for the lack of exploration.

The lobby of the mall had an installation that everyone seemed to ignore. So we investigated.  Artist Fernando Diaz Ziehl, (This email address is being protected from spambots. His art is minuscule, precise and amazing.  This artist takes ordinary white pieces of paper, folds, cuts, folds, maneuvers and creates dramatic scenes of buildings.  While we aimlessly wandered around the gargantuan mall we noticed that not one person bothered to stop and view his works.  Check out the photos.
